Newsletter #2 - What to do upon your Arrival

We are pretty excited for you all to an integral part of the first annual Trail Hero event. To bring the entire industry together for one fun week of trail riding and Rock Motorsports is something that hasn't been done to this level before, and all for a great cause. You'll see all the top industry players and companies at our Vendor Show, all the top teams in our different competitions, and most importantly you'll see some great wheeling on relatively unknown trails with amazing views. 80+ trail riding opportunities throughout the week for vehicles of all makes, models, sizes, and modifications. That's a HUGE undertaking that can only happen with a solid network of dedicated volunteers.

To accomplish this great task, we have enlisted the non-profit club Desert Roads and Trails Society (Desert RATS). They are local experts of southern Utah's trail network, great ambassadors of our industry, and selfless volunteers geared toward our land use movement. The Desert RATS are familiar with what it takes to hold a large scale trail ride as they host the Winter 4x4 Jamboree at Sand Hollow every January. Last year they donated around $20,000 to land use organizations like Utah Public Lands Alliance (UPLA). Help also comes from the St. George Jeepers who regularly hold clean-ups on our local trails to ensure their natural beauty.

Before you get on your trails or campsite...
The first thing that each participant needs to do is arrive at registration. Here you will receive your Vehicle Pass, Discounts, Wristbands, and any info you may need prior to hitting the trails. We'll have some merchandise including breakfast and coffee available for purchase, literature about the event and different activities throughout the week, and lastly a quick overview of your rig to make sure you didn't sign up for a trail that your vehicle isn't capable of. If that is the rare case, we'll ensure you get into a trail that is better suited for your modifications and skill level. We do reserve the right to change your trail reservation upon extreme circumstances. We will have remote staging for trails rated 8 and higher. Exact location and trails will be released at another date. Trails 7 and under will need to stage downtown at their staging location. You can access that location on your trail's Description signified with the letter " i " on the "Trails" page of the website.

Some Dates to Consider...
Beginning of September: You will receive an e-mail with the staging location and departure time for each trail that you signed up for. Please remember to print these and bring them with you to ensure faster registration.
October 3rd: Although our official pre-registration ends October 3rd, there is a chance of selling out on your favorite trails. With this in mind, if you have any friends that are waiting to register, they may run the risk of not securing their desired trail. To eliminate this risk, they should look at signing up earlier. Some trails are already sold out with some others not far behind.

Lastly, we are constantly trying to improve our system and how we handle business. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to contact us and give us the info. We will try to make this newsletter a weekly affair to ensure the proper line of communication is at our standards.

Thank you again for your continued support,
